Born in Mexico City in 1957. He obtained his law degree with honors from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1981. He was granted Public Brokerage license in 1996 by the Ministry of Economy.

He is an expert in corporate law, banking, financial law, and joint ventures.
