Antitrust Law
As in many countries, some commercial and industrial activities have been concentrated in few big companies. Such concentration has reached levels that could endanger the spirit of free competition that forms the cornerstone of the Mexican market economy.
Mexican law promotes competition among players under free market conditions, unless one of them gains substantial power in the relevant market.
RGR has extensive experience in notifying the competent authorities of transactions that must be reported by law, providing the elements the authorities need to understand the relevant transaction and the competitive advantages involved.
RGR has strategic alliances with economic experts involved in making the analysis and studies required to support a legal action against businesses that create unfair competitive conditions and prevent free participation in markets.
Also, RGR has participated before the Mexican Federal Antitrust Commission in processes initiated as a consequence of monopolistic and predatory practices, in which industries in Mexico and abroad have been engaged in.
